Hurry up and wait
We've entered the single digits in number of days until our move. A week from today, the packers will be here, boxing up all of our stuff. Last week, I was running around like a crazy woman, making goodwill piles, finalizing things for the closing on both houses and the car we're buying. But all of that is done now, and it feels too early to start in on the final preparations-- things like packing suitcases and dumping the contents of my refrigerator and pantry. So today, and the next few days, are a period of relative calm-- we're pretty much caught up. But the calm doesn't feel especially enjoyable because I know what's coming next-- the crazy packing, loading, flying, closing, shopping, unloading, unpacking phase that will make me feel like I got run over by the moving truck. The good news is that two weeks from now the kids and I (and all our stuff) should be in the new house.

That is where we were exactly one year ago (minus the closing on a new house and the new car).
I'm excited to see the your new house and Bailey is dying to see Annie. (That is if you don't mind if we drop by.) See ya in a couple of weeks!
And congratulations on selling your house, it's a nerve racking experience.

i am excited you're almost here. i am flying the 8-12th to get my june hours done in a chunk...which is a bummer since i won't be around to help you that week. but i'll be here when you get here. and i'm excited to see you.
i just remembered that you had some garden fairies and i can't express how happy it makes me that at least one of us does! if you figure out the identity, and they still have any magic fairy dust leftover that i could use some at my place. either that or i'll be eating all your tomatoes this summer ♥
