Hurricane Ike is headed our way-- if it stays on current course, we can expect to take a fairly direct hit early Saturday morning. We're about 45 miles inland and we haven't decided if we're going to evacuate or not yet. Eddie is leaning towards evacuating, but his motivations aren't the best-- he wants to make sure he doesn't miss the BYU football game on Saturday afternoon. Other than all of the normal worries about safety and our house, I'm mostly stressing about how the heck I'm going to fit in my last 22-miler on Saturday...

i saw that on the news this morning. hanna hit us last weekend. but that was only a tropical storm. honestly, i would want to leave. and depending on which side of the storm you're on......hopefully you'll be on the clean side.
good priorities eddie
Stay safe and be well.
i've never been in an evacuation situation before. the storms i've lived through have all been of the winter type. i hope all goes well for you and your home. you could just move early if you want! ;-)

thinking of you. We are not in the evac area and have been asked to shelter in place. I'm all stocked up just sitting and waiting. Here's hoping it's not as direct as it shows. Be safe whatever you decide.
Stay safe!
And let Eddie know he won't be missing much. UCLA is gonna kick their butts anyway.
Just stay safe. You can always run in a farther away hotel's neighborhood...and Eddie would even be there to watch the kids!
LOL at Eddie and the BYU game! Good luck, and stay safe!
Be safe! Thinking of you. :)
Yeah, my dh is with yours. Don't take any risk of missing the game.
How are you? Updates? I'm hoping your safe and sound now that the storm has passed!
