It's a new year, and I'll once again be chronicling the books I read. My numbers slipped a bit in 2007 (72, as opposed to 85 the previous year) so I'm hoping to see a rebound. My reviews might get a bit shorter. They take a lot of work and no one responds to them (which I totally understand-- I rarely respond to book reviews either), but I know that some people read them to get ideas, so I'm not ditching them entirely.

Yes, please do keep them up. I just put a bunch of items on hold at my library yesterday, all from your 2007 list.
I love the book reviews too!
I love your book reviews too. I can't believe how many books you read that I have never even heard of. I hope you don't stop. You were my inspiration to start documenting the books I read and it is something I have enjoyed. Plus, it's helped me remember what I've read, which is always useful if I want to sound smart and literary:)
Not that you're writing for me but I love your reviews and would miss them.
Me too! You are my personal book list generator! Maybe you could just go to Goodreads.com.....
I am heading out on a vacation and needed some books to take...so I came here and just put a bunch on hold at the library. I appreciate the reviews you write, but if they're too much work, you could seriously just create a "Shelah's Rating System" and do a one-sentence response to the book. We can all read synopsis of the books elsewhere if we need more info. I just like to know if you really liked it, or, as you've noted in many cases, whether a different book by the author was better in your opinion. I already know how your opinion of a book sync's with mine in general. Just like I know if certain movie critics like a movie, then I probably will too. Thanks for documenting your reading adventure. I think I'm going to do something similar on my own blog. ♥
