Eddie and I have:
-lived in three apartments and two houses in four states (Utah, Missouri, Minnesota and Texas)
-graduated from BYU
-finished advanced degrees at Washington University in St. Louis
-owned three different cars
-gone through four hand mixers
-spent ten nights away from all of our children
-traveled to about 20 states but no foreign countries
-watched BYU beat Utah in football four times
I have held five jobs in three different fields.
Eddie has held three jobs in the same field.
I have borne four children. He has helped.
I have pulled three all-nighters (thanks to Bryce, Annie and Maren). Eddie's probably put in more like 300.
I've gained and lost 120 pounds. He's gained about 10 pounds.
I've owned seven engagment and wedding rings. He has had two.
I've done at least 2600 loads of laundry. He's probably put in 26.
I've gotten farther to the left on the political spectrum, while he has gravitated to the right.
And it goes without saying that I love him more than ever-- more than I thought I could on that April morning ten years ago.
I'm guessing that the next ten years won't bring quite as many changes as the previous ten (Eddie's cardiology training will come to an end, and I'm hoping that means just one more big move), but I'm pretty sure that ten years from now I'll still feel like saying "yes" to Eddie was the best choice I've made in my life.
