I've been feeling sort of guilty about not having pictures on my blog. After all, I switched to a whole new hosting service just so I could password protect and share the details of my life more freely. So I've been looking at my friends' blogs, and noticed that at least three of my friends (Andrea, Steph and Alissa) have hot-looking pictures of themselves on the front page.
So last night, kids in bed, Eddie still at work, I set out to take a hot-looking picture of myself. Yeah, I was wearing my little-girl pigtails and I had a whole fried-rice dinner on my shirt, but no one would notice. But yikes, for someone who has always had a pretty good self-image, I think I did some damage to my psyche last night. Here are some of the scariest shots:
When Eddie came home, he spent the first five minutes after he walked in the door assuring me that, no, I really don't look like that. He promises me that taking pictures of yourself while holding the camera is like looking in a fun-house mirror-- it makes your face look long and your nose look big. Maybe he's lying, but I'll take it.
Anyway, today was take two. Annie took some shots of me:
Next time I'll make sure an adult holds the camera.
