I read David Liss's The Conspiracy of Paper a few years ago and loved it. This is a great book too, but nothing like the 16th century London mystery. Instead, The Ethical Assassin reminds me of something Elmore Leonard or Carl Hiassen might write-- it's slick and hot and makes you hate Florida. Eddie and I both read it (quickly) and enjoyed it. It's a good plane or beach read, and definitely a page-turner.
