Here's a minute by minute account of my day yesterday:
6:25- listen to Eddie leave for work
6:45- get up, shower, and spend five minutes trying to decide if I really want to wear the pink pants (I do)
7:00-7:55- get three kids dressed and ready
8:02- corral a sockless/shoeless Bryce into the car
8:05- pick up Bryce's friend to take him to the soccer parade because his parents think it's way too early to get up and take them himself
8:08- turn around and get jackets when I realize it's freezing
8:15 arrive at Kroger, where Eddie told me the soccer parade would take place. Two other families are also waiting. Slowly, we realize we have gone to the wrong Kroger. Instead of decorating our cars with streamers and washable paint and honking our horns all the way to the field, we follow each other in silence and watch as the people who got the location right parade in about five minutes later.
9:00-10:15- Soccer game. Goals scored on Bryce when he's goalie: 3. Goals Bryce scores: 0. Spends the second half of the game with his head in his shirt, pretending he's an ostrich.
10:29- Arrive at home to finish making the salad (that asian one with the fried wonton skins) for the ward picnic
11:00 -Drive to park
11:10-11:32- drive aroud in circles while I look for the right pavillion
11:33- find it
11:34- realize that due to Mormon Standard Time, I'm still at least 1/2 an hour early for the party, even though I'm 30 minutes late by the clock.
11:35-1:15- Endure a ward picnic (playing at playground, getting stickers from a clown, eating lunch, waiting around for an easter egg hunt) while keeping the kids away from our dumb ward member's freaky attack dog that they were dumb enough to bring to the party
1:25- arrive home with seconds to wrap a present before Mary arrives
1:30-5:19- watch Mary's two younger kids while she takes Bryce and her kindergartener to a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese
5:30- make grilled cheese for Isaac and Annie (Bryce says he doesn't want any)
5:35- do all the dishes
5:40- Bryce decides he wants a grilled cheese sandwich
5:50-6:20- clean up the ravages done to the house. Annie helps, Bryce hides out in his room.
6:20-6:30- get three kids bathed and dressed for bed
6:55- put baby to bed
6:56- find a gigantic hole in the crotch of the pink pants
7:20- Eddie comes home
7:45-8:15- run out to get Mexican food
8:15- arrive home to find the big kids in bed and another huge mess in the playroom
8:16- Eddie points out that I have an Easter sticker stuck to my back
8:20-10:00- gorge myself while we watch New York Doll
10:20 fall asleep exhausted
