What can I say about this one? I read it for book group. I didn't pick the book. I didn't realize that it was a children's book until it arrived in the mail. I hate reading children's books, so I was biased against it from the very beginning. It was cute-- reminded me a lot of Jasper Fforde's style, very tongue-in-cheek, except for children. But that still doesn't change the fact that I do NOT like to read children's novels. I'll read them with my kids or read them to my kids, but I don't want to read them on my own. That is all.
