Things seem to be slow in blogdom, so I'm doing my part to spice things up a bit with a picture post of the projects smartmama and I worked on when she was in town. I'm sure I won't be as productive again for months.
This is the new arrangement over my couch. I had the pictures of my kids (which are in another shot below) arranged around the couch, but since our third kid is nearly two and there was no room for his pictures on the wall, we moved them to a place where there's room to grow. The botanicals on either side of our wedding picture had been above the Clavinova.
The two shots below are of our main work for the weekend. We decoupaged a series of three canvases to go over the new piano (which should be here in a few weeks). They look like they're hung a little bit too high right now, but the piano will be taller than the Clavinova is.
Smartmama also introduced my 4 year-old to the delights of acrylic painting while she was here. Annie now fancies herself a professional artist, so I created this "gallery" for her this week by cutting 1 x 2, sanding, priming and painting it, drilling holes in the sides, and nailing it up to display her masterpieces.
And last, but not least, here's a picture of my newly highlighted hair (doesn't look much different, just touched up a bit, lol) and the project I've been working on for the last 14 weeks, my belly (which also doesn't look much different, maybe just slightly thicker).
After all that work, I think I need a nap.
